Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in managing weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing for diverse employee groups and multiple entities
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, deductions, and reconciliation procedures
  • Experience in auditing payroll calculations for accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to prepare and transmit ACH bank files and payroll-related transactions within tight deadlines
  • Capable of maintaining detailed payroll records, including new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations
  • Familiarity with payroll compliance reporting, year-end processes, and audit support
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel with a knack for managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience supporting payroll in a manufacturing, industrial, or union environment
  • Knowledge of PAYCOM or similar HRIS/payroll platforms
  • Experience with multi-entity payroll operations
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college courses in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of payroll processing experience, with a strong grasp of payroll regulations and compliance practices
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion
  • Willingness to participate in payroll system upgrades, testing, and continuous process improvements
Salary:  $26-$28 per hour
