- Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee daily accounting, manage month-end and year-end closures, and prepare comprehensive financial statements for the firm and benefit programs.
- Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure accuracy and timely filing of all state and federal tax documentation (including 1099s and use tax), manage business registrations, and handle attorney licensing renewals.
- Audit & Oversight: Lead internal and external audit preparations, coordinate with outside accountants, and maintain rigorous oversight of client trust accounts and vendor reconciliations.
- Leadership & Operations: Supervise and back up AP/AR functions, provide strategic direction for accounting projects, and act as a mentor to foster the professional growth of the accounting team.
- Accounting Expertise: Possess a thorough understanding of GAAP and modified cash basis accounting, paired with the ability to research, analyze, and report on complex financial data.
- Leadership & Soft Skills: Demonstrate excellent management abilities and a track record of acting with high integrity, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
- Technical Proficiency: Master organizational tasks and data collection using Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and other industry-standard accounting software.
- Education & Experience:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience) supplemented by 2–5 years of proven supervisory or management experience.
Salary: $90-$110k
