Join our Finance Shared Services Center as an Accounting Specialist and help us maintain the integrity of our financial data. We're looking for an analytical professional who is driven by detail and has a passion for problem-solving.
This role is for someone who wants to make a real impact. You'll be responsible for more than just data entry; you'll actively work to uncover inconsistencies, reconcile complex workflows, and ensure accuracy across our inventory and accounts receivable processes. You'll be a key member of our team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the completeness and correctness of inventory data, production records, and customer payments.
- Manage Financial Transactions: You will be the point person for managing inbound inventory transactions. This includes recording data, monitoring automated feeds, and ensuring all documentation is accurately captured and categorized for inventory tracking.
- Ensure Data Integrity: You will be responsible for reconciling production and inventory data against key documents like bills of lading. Your role is to identify and troubleshoot discrepancies, working across teams to ensure the underlying issues are permanently resolved.
- Own the AR Process: You will take full ownership of the cash application process, accurately posting customer payments and resolving any issues like short payments or misapplied funds. You'll also play a key role in the monthly accounts receivable close and communicate payment-related issues to stakeholders.
- Maintain System & Data Accuracy: You will be a steward of our financial data, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records in all systems. This includes monitoring system health and assisting with physical inventory counts to maintain data integrity.
- Drive Process Efficiency: A key part of your role is to identify and champion process improvements, suggesting new automations and workflows to streamline financial transactions and enhance compliance with internal controls.
Candidate Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or transactional finance, preferably in a construction, manufacturing, or inventory-heavy industry.
- Skills: Strong proficiency with ERP systems and financial software; experience with Viewpoint - Vista is a plus.
- Mindset: A natural problem-solver who can independently research and resolve complex transaction issues.
- AR Knowledge: Familiarity with cash application, customer billing cycles, and account maintenance.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and customers to resolve discrepancies.
- Initiative: You're a self-starter who takes full ownership of processes and is always looking for ways to improve efficiency.

Salary: $54,000-$62,500
