As a Certification Test Engineer, you'll lead the testing and FAA certification of electrical equipment—from prototype evaluation to final approval. Work hands-on with advanced test equipment, interface with regulatory standards, and drive the certification process that gets real technology off the ground and into the skies. Requirements:
  • 3+ years in testing and certifying electrical equipment, preferably in aerospace or similar regulated industries.
  • Proficient with oscilloscopes, DVMs, data acquisition systems, and general electrical lab equipment.
  • Familiarity with FAA TSO, STC, PMA processes, and standards like DO-160, DO-311A, MIL-STD-810/461.
  • High school diploma or GED required; engineering degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Duties:

  • Plan, execute, and document tests to ensure compliance with FAA and industry standards.
  • Author test plans, procedures, and reports to support regulatory certification activities.
  • Build test setups, assist with prototype evaluation, and operate test equipment in a hands-on lab environment.
  • Coordinate with external test labs and internal teams to support project timelines and goals.
  •  Provide testing expertise for production and evaluate new technologies to enhance product safety and reliability.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
