What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Lead monthly/quarterly/year-end close, financial statement preparation, and management reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting; provide variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Oversee cash flow planning, working capital, banking relationships, and (if applicable) debt covenants.
- Ensure strong internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance (GAAP; tax coordination; audits/reviews).
- Manage core accounting operations (AP/AR/payroll coordination, GL integrity, revenue recognition where relevant).
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning, pricing/margin analysis, investments, and growth initiatives
- Improve processes and systems (ERP/accounting tools, automation, dashboards).
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Progressive finance/accounting leadership experience (typically 8+ years, including people leadership).
- Strong command of GAAP, financial reporting, and close management.
- Proven experience building budgets/forecasts and advising leaders with data-driven insights.
- Experience with audit/tax coordination and working with external partners (CPA firm, banking, legal).
- Systems strength (ERP/accounting platforms; Excel/Sheets mastery; reporting/BI is a plus).
- Clear communicator who can operate at both hands-on and strategic levels.
Preferred
- CPA and/or MBA.
- Experience in insurance
- M&A, integration, multi-entity, or multi-state complexity.

- Close is timely and accurate; leadership has reporting they trust.
- Forecasts are predictable and tied to real operating drivers.
- Cash is actively managed; risks are surfaced early.
- Finance is a partner to the business—not just “accounting.”
Salary $150,000-$200,000/year
