Key Responsibilities
- Control System Design & Programming
Design, configure, program, and test PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to meet production and operational requirements. - Equipment Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose and resolve issues related to automated equipment, control systems, and electrical components to minimize downtime. - Process Improvement & Automation
Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reliability, and waste reduction. - Technical Documentation
Develop and maintain electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and system operation documentation. - Vendor & Project Coordination
Source control components, obtain vendor quotes, recommend suppliers, and assist with installation and commissioning of control systems. - Safety & Compliance
Ensure all control systems comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. - Maintenance Team Support
Provide technical guidance, training, and troubleshooting support to maintenance technicians and operations staff.
Qualifications
- Education
Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered. - Experience
1–2 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or industrial manufacturing environments. - Technical Skills
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial troubleshooting. - Software Proficiency
Experience with AutoCAD for electrical or panel design and Microsoft Office tools for documentation. - Problem-Solving Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a structured approach to resolving technical challenges. - Communication & Collaboration
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead technical initiatives.
