Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide controllership leadership across multiple locations by managing plant/site controllers and ensuring consistent execution of the month-end close, account reconciliations, and core financial processes across the business (including balance sheet and P&L ownership for assigned sites/business units).
• Prepare and/or oversee monthly reporting packages, variance explanations, and management-ready commentary; ensure performance and key drivers are clearly communicated in monthly results discussions.
• Maintain strong financial controls and reporting integrity—review reconciliations for accuracy and support, identify and address unusual transactions, and support internal/external audit requests as needed.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to senior operations leadership by providing cost visibility, surfacing exceptions/unusual activity, supporting efficiency and cost-saving initiatives, and delivering ad hoc analysis with clear recommendations.
• Own key manufacturing finance cycles and systems execution, including the annual budget process, inventory count oversight (cutoff and reconciliation), product costing and cost roll-ups, freight/FIFO-related variance analysis, and ERP usage (SAP and other accounting platforms), including capital/fixed asset activity; step in to support coverage and talent needs when required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including 5+ years leading controllership teams with demonstrated coaching and people leadership.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• SAP experience highly desired; otherwise, a proven track record of quickly learning and leveraging ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to influence across finance, operations, and supply chain teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, challenging current processes, and implementing practical improvements.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to dig into data to understand business drivers and root causes.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
