We are seeking reliable Event Staff to help support a multi-day conference at the Overland Park Convention Center (March 30, 31, and April 1st, 2026). In this role, you will assist with attendee check-in, classroom coordination, and general event operations to ensure sessions run smoothly and guests have a great experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with attendee check-in and check-out while directing participants to the appropriate classrooms or event areas
  • Monitor classroom attendance by scanning participants in and out of sessions using the provided equipment
  • Support instructors during sessions by helping with materials, water, or coordinating assistance for technical issues
  • Provide general event support including answering questions, assisting with registration updates, and helping maintain an organized event environment
  • Answer questions or direct attendees to the appropriate classroom.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using tablets, laptops, and simple scanning software
  • Ability to stay organized and attentive in a busy event setting
  • Must be able to stand or move between rooms for extended periods and lift up to 40–45 pounds when needed
  • Able to work the hours:  Mon - 6:30 - 5:00; Tues and Wed 7:00 - 5:00
Hourly: $20/hr
