  • Perform complex flow cytometry testing and analysis (including immunophenotyping and specialized panels) and independently interpret results for accuracy and quality.
  • Serve as the technical expert for cytometry instrumentation—calibration, optimization, configuration, maintenance oversight, and performance monitoring.
  • Lead quality control (QC) program integrity, including documentation, corrective actions, and ongoing monitoring to maintain analytical performance standards.
  • Drive assay and methodology improvements through reagent optimization, validation activities, troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors/manufacturer reps as needed.
  • Support regulatory compliance and inspection readiness (CAP/CLIA), while providing technical guidance, training, and competency support to lab staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, clinical laboratory sciences, or medical technology (required).
  • ASCP certification (MLS, MLT, and/or relevant specialist certification) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical flow cytometry lab preferred (hematology MLS experience may be acceptable).
  • Advanced hands-on expertise with flow cytometry instrumentation, data analysis/interpretation, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively, and maintain confidentiality.
Salary: $74,000-$98,000
