Requirements
- Perform specimen preparation/handling and support routine flow cytometry testing while maintaining specimen integrity.
- Follow established lab procedures for analysis, reporting, and accurate documentation of patient results.
- Participate in quality control activities, including documenting QC, supporting calibrations/maintenance, and monitoring analytical performance.
- Identify testing or instrument issues, follow out-of-range procedures, escalate when needed, and document corrective actions.
- Maintain safety and compliance standards (biohazard/chemical handling, clean workspace) and support inspection readiness/onsite inspections.
- Bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, clinical laboratory sciences, or medical technology (required).
- ASCP certification (MLS, MLT, and/or appropriate specialist certification) (required).
- 0–2 years of clinical flow lab experience preferred (hematology MLS experience acceptable).
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills; team-oriented and able to maintain confidentiality.
