We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Gifted & Talented (GT) Endorsed Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in the Englewood, Colorado area. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about supporting gifted learners through differentiated instruction, advanced learning opportunities, and meaningful collaboration with students, families, and school staff.

The ideal candidate will possess strong instructional expertise, a deep understanding of gifted education, and a commitment to fostering both the academic and social-emotional growth of high-potential students.

Key Responsibilities

Gifted Identification & Assessment

  • Screen and evaluate students for identification into Gifted and Talented programs.
  • Analyze assessment data to support student growth and instructional planning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure appropriate academic challenge and support.

Instruction & Curriculum Development

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction designed to meet the unique learning needs of gifted students.
  • Adapt teaching materials and instructional methods to develop challenging, sequential learning experiences.
  • Foster critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in teaching style while encouraging concept development and integration of learning.

Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs)

  • Lead the development, implementation, and annual review of Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) for identified gifted students.
  • Create strength-based academic goals and affective/social-emotional goals within each ALP.
  • Collaborate with students, families, and school teams to support individualized success.

Collaboration & Consultation

  • Partner with classroom teachers to enrich, differentiate, and extend curriculum and instruction.
  • Collaborate with core content teachers in Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies to co-plan and co-deliver tiered lessons.
  • Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to provide a successful educational experience for all students.

Student Advocacy & School Culture

  • Promote a supportive, inclusive, and academically challenging environment for gifted learners.
  • Support the social-emotional and affective needs of students alongside their academic development.
  • Uphold all district and school policies regarding student safety and well-being.

Additional Duties

  • Utilize instructional technology and educational resources to enhance student learning.
  • Participate in professional development and team initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid Colorado Teaching License.
  • Colorado Gifted and Talented Endorsement.
  • Experience differentiating instruction and supporting advanced learners.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Education, Gifted Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
  • Previous experience developing and implementing Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs).
  • Experience working with gifted and talented students in a K-12 educational setting.

Compensation & Assignment Details

  • Pay Rate: $55.00 - $62.50 per hour
