Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration: Own and process accurate, timely payroll; review timesheets; manage deductions, garnishments, tax filings, reconciliations, and employment verifications.

  • Compliance & Reporting: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws; support audits and payroll reporting requirements.

  • People Operations Support: Administer payroll-related benefits, maintain employee records, and serve as a point of contact for payroll and HR process inquiries.

  • Onboarding & Administration: Coordinate new hire onboarding, system setup, salary updates, performance review administration, and training records in partnership with the parent People Operations team.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on, full-cycle payroll processing experience; HR administrative support experience preferred.

  • Systems & Tools: Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, SAP, or similar; strong Excel skills.

  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll compliance, wage and hour laws, benefits deductions, and payroll reporting.

  • Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, discreet, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Compensation

$50,000–$65,000 annually plus profit sharing
