We are seeking a detail-oriented payroll professional to own full-cycle payroll processing while providing administrative support across Human Resources . This role is payroll-heavy , with HR responsibilities focused on execution and coordination rather than strategic HR leadership. The position ensures payroll accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration: Own and process accurate, timely payroll; review timesheets; manage deductions, garnishments, tax filings, reconciliations, and employment verifications.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws; support audits and payroll reporting requirements.
- People Operations Support: Administer payroll-related benefits, maintain employee records, and serve as a point of contact for payroll and HR process inquiries.
- Onboarding & Administration: Coordinate new hire onboarding, system setup, salary updates, performance review administration, and training records in partnership with the parent People Operations team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on, full-cycle payroll processing experience; HR administrative support experience preferred.
- Systems & Tools: Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, SAP, or similar; strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll compliance, wage and hour laws, benefits deductions, and payroll reporting.
- Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, discreet, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Compensation
$50,000–$65,000 annually plus profit sharing
