Inventory Specialist Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks using material handling equipment
- Verify inbound inventory and non-inventory items against packing lists
- Research and correct inventory variances and inaccurate inventory transactions
- Review daily inventory transactions to ensure accuracy
- Perform and/or oversee daily cycle counting; maintain cycle count documentation
- Verify accuracy of LTL (less-than-truckload) customer orders
- Coordinate timely pickup and delivery of LTL customer orders
- Properly build/secure LTL orders to help prevent damage during transit
- Maintain shipping, inventory, cycle count, and return records in chronological order
- Process and/or manage customer returns and maintain related documentation
- Report aged inventory monthly to Procurement and assist with removal/disposition as directed
- Stock product in assigned locations and ensure FIFO (first-in, first-out) is followed
- Replenish primary pick locations from overflow as needed, following FIFO
- Maintain and update an accurate inventory locator daily
- Assist with picker/packer training
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse leadership
Inventory Specialist Requirements:
- High school diploma (required)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Shipping/receiving experience (required)
- Forklift certified and experienced (required)
- Ability to learn and follow SOPs related to receiving and warehouse operations
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and decision-making skills
- Able to work well with others and communicate effectively
- Comfortable providing direction and supporting employee development
- Willingness to learn basic computer skills as needed
- Must complete and comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) training
