Kitter / Kit Builder (1st Shift)

Pay:  $18.50/hour
Schedule:  Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable  Kitter / Kit Builder  to support production by accurately pulling parts and materials, building kits to work orders, and staging completed kits for assembly/shipping. This role requires strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work on your feet throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull parts/materials to complete kits based on pick lists, work orders, or BOMs
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and specifications to ensure kit accuracy
• Label, bag, and package components neatly and consistently
• Stage completed kits in designated locations for production/assembly
• Perform basic inventory transactions (scan items, update counts, report shortages)
• Notify supervisor/materials team of shortages, damaged parts, or discrepancies
• Maintain a clean, organized work area (5S / housekeeping)
• Assist with receiving, stocking, cycle counts, and general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in warehouse, production, picking/packing, or kitting preferred (will train the right person)
• Comfortable reading work instructions, part numbers, and labels
• Basic computer or RF scanner experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the full scheduled shift

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for most of the shift
• Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (with assistance if needed)
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motions
