CNC Machinist (Mill Preferred) — 1st Shift
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM (occasional Friday overtime)
Pay Range:
$23.75–$27.21/hr
Machinist Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC equipment (mill preferred; lathe experience acceptable)
- Load and run CNC programs and verify correct offsets/tooling prior to running production
- Read basic G-code to confirm tool paths, cycles, and program intent (no editing/programming required)
- Perform complete machine setups, including workholding, tooling, and first-piece verification
- Use dial indicators to sweep tools/fixtures and ensure accurate alignment
- Inspect parts using standard measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) and document results as required
- Maintain quality and dimensional accuracy throughout the run; make offset adjustments when needed
- Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and support continuous improvement efforts
Machinist Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a CNC machinist (setup and run)
- Strong ability to use measuring equipment and interpret measurements accurately
- Experience loading programs and understanding basic CNC workflow
- Ability to read basic G-code (programming not required)
- Proven setup experience and ability to use dial indicators for sweeping/alignment
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic prints/routers
Machinist Preferred Qualifications:
- CNC mill experience (strongly preferred)
- Experience on both mills and lathes
- Familiarity with maintaining tight tolerances in a production environment
