What We're Looking For
- Ability to use a tape measure and perform basic addition, subtraction, and dimension calculations
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools , including hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, etc.
- Ability to read and understand basic measurements, diagrams, and technical instructions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious
- Comfortable performing physical labor and assisting with moving materials and equipment
Potentially strong backgrounds include:
- Apartment or building maintenance
- Construction or general labor
- Automotive service, such as Jiffy Lube
- Manufacturing or mechanical environments
- Facilities maintenance
- Anyone with strong hands-on mechanical skills and a willingness to learn
Responsibilities
- Assist Maintenance Technicians with routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations
- Perform general facility upkeep, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining maintenance areas
- Help identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and maintenance concerns
- Keep tools, equipment, and supplies clean and organized
- Assist with moving materials, parts, machinery, and maintenance supplies
- Perform basic repairs and general labor tasks under the direction of maintenance personnel
- Assist with minor building repairs and other facility maintenance projects
- Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements when applicable and properly authorized
- Support Maintenance Technicians with various facility and maintenance projects
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned
