Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Perform corrective repairs quickly and safely to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and process equipment issues.
- Work with and maintain industrial process equipment including:
- Pumps, drives, gearboxes , and related components
- Boilers, air compressors, and chillers
- Perform basic wiring , conduit installation, and electrical component replacement.
- Use electrical testing tools (ex: meter/test equipment) to verify performance and identify faults.
- Complete preventive maintenance (PMs) , inspections, and assigned work orders on time.
- Document completed work in an electronic PM/CMMS system (paper checklists may be used in some cases).
- Support facility maintenance as needed (light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Assist other maintenance team members as needed and contribute to strong teamwork.
- Continuously look for ways to improve equipment reliability and reduce repeat issues.
- Recommend improvements to reduce downtime, including spare parts and tool needs.
Safety & Compliance Expectations
- Follow all site safety policies and applicable industrial safety practices, including:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Confined Space
- Fall Protection
- Comply with all PPE requirements and wear a respirator when required.
- Report incidents/near-misses to leadership promptly and follow environmental, safety, and quality procedures.
Maintenance Technician Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs and manufacturing equipment operation
- Knowledge of:
- High/low voltage and 3-phase electrical
- General fabrication practices
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to work any shift , plus weekends as needed
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the facility to diagnose issues and perform repairs
- Ability to work in tight spaces, at heights , and in industrial environments
- Must be physically able to perform hands-on maintenance work as required
