We are seeking experienced Materials Buyers to join a fast-paced manufacturing operation supporting critical production and supply chain initiatives in the northwest St. Louis metro area. This is a full-time, onsite position working Monday–Friday from 7:00am–3:30pm and is ideal for procurement professionals who enjoy negotiating with suppliers, analyzing inventory needs, and driving operational efficiency. Candidates who thrive in manufacturing environments and understand machining, fabricated parts, and ERP-driven purchasing processes will excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities including RFQs, purchase orders, supplier communication, and inventory replenishment
• Analyze supplier pricing, lead times, and inventory demands to support production schedules
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure materials availability
• Negotiate supplier pricing and support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management processes
• Ability to read blueprints and understand machining or fabricated parts
• Strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
