Professional Land Surveyor (Missouri Licensed)

A growing Midwest-based firm is seeking a Missouri-licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to support a variety of public and private infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates will have strong technical knowledge, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities include overseeing survey projects, reviewing field data, directing survey crews, and preparing final documents. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Hours: M-F 8-5 with flexibility
Salary: $85,000+ based on experience 
Primary Responsibilities 
  • Manage survey projects and coordinate with clients, crews, and on-site personnel.
  • Perform field data collection, calculations, and stakeout using surveying equipment.

  • Process and manage electronic field data, notes, and documentation.

  • Prepare plans, reports, and design documents for land development and construction.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.


Requirements

  • Missouri PLS license required; 5+ years of combined field and office experience.
  • Proficient with surveying tools including Robotic Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Experience with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and DOT surveys.

  • Skilled in drafting surveys, exhibits, and legal descriptions; Microsoft Office proficiency required.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to travel, work in both field and office settings, and maintain a strong safety and detail-oriented focus.
