This is a high-impact Network Engineer role for someone who enjoys owning critical infrastructure and solving the hard problems—before they become outages. As a Network Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and optimize secure, highly available enterprise networking across routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and firewall services. The Network Engineer will lead upgrades and improvements, collaborate across infrastructure/security/cloud teams, and independently troubleshoot advanced performance and connectivity issues to keep business operations stable, fast, and secure.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of progressively responsible network engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network security principles, and enterprise networking concepts
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching in an enterprise environment
- Experience supporting firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networking
- Advanced troubleshooting skills (root cause analysis across performance, routing, connectivity, and security impacts)
- Ability to design/implement network improvements for availability, scalability, and performance
- Strong documentation habits (network diagrams, standards, and procedures)
- Comfortable coordinating projects and communicating with technical and business stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills
- CCNP (or equivalent) level experience/certification
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5 (or similar)
- Azure networking or hybrid-cloud networking experience
- Exposure to SD-WAN and enterprise monitoring/observability platforms
- Experience mentoring junior engineers / acting as a technical lead
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience leading or owning network upgrades, implementations, and lifecycle projects
Other Requirements
- Willingness to participate in planned maintenance windows, upgrades, and disaster recovery testing as needed
- Strong professional judgment around access, change control, and secure configuration standards
- Certifications are a plus (CCNP or equivalent)
Salary:$68,000 - $78,000
