Plastic Injection Molding Operator (1st Shift) — Grandview, MO
Pay & Schedule
- $23/hour
- 1st shift: 6:15 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
- Monday through Friday
Operator Job Duties:
- Operate plastic injection molding machines and support production needs on the floor
- Load/unload parts, monitor cycle times, and keep product moving through the work cell
- Perform visual inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards (flash, short shots, sinks, warping, blemishes, etc.)
- Trim, deburr, or perform basic secondary operations as needed
- Package finished product according to work instructions (labels, counts, boxing/bagging)
- Record production counts, scrap, and downtime accurately
- Keep your area clean and organized using 5S/housekeeping standards
- Follow all safety requirements, including proper PPE and safe machine operation
Extrusion Department (Cross-Training / Support as Needed)
Depending on production demand, you may have the opportunity to support or cross-train in the Extrusion Department, where work may include:
- Assisting with extrusion line operation by monitoring material flow, temperatures, and line speeds
- Performing in-process checks and communicating quality concerns quickly
- Supporting changeovers and start-ups/shut-downs (under direction of lead/operator)
- Handling raw materials (resin, regrind) and keeping hoppers/feed areas stocked
- Basic troubleshooting support and helping maintain safe, consistent output
(Note: Extrusion duties can be tailored based on your background—training is available.)

- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to follow written work instructions and safety procedures
- Reliable attendance and a team-first attitude
Preferred (Plus)
- Plastic injection molding experience
- Experience with production documentation, inspection checks, or packaging/assembly in a manufacturing setting
- Comfort working around industrial equipment and moving production lines
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Standing/walking for most of the shift
- Repetitive hand motions and basic material handling
- Ability to lift typical production items as needed (exact requirements can be confirmed)
