Process Engineer

  We are seeking a hands-on  Process Engineer  to support our Plastic Injection Molding Company through process design/development and direct production-floor support. This role partners closely with Quality, Tooling, Maintenance, and Engineering to troubleshoot issues, reduce scrap, increase efficiency, and standardize best practices through training and work instructions.
 


Process Engineer Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive  Twin Screw production efficiency  through process design, development, and day-to-day production support.
  • Partner with  Quality and Tooling  to resolve defects and mold-related issues.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement projects  focused on efficiency gains and scrap reduction.
  • Develop, design, and set up  processes, systems, workstations, and automation equipment .
  • Troubleshoot  process and system issues; identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and support  lead personnel, setup technicians, and supervisors  on systems and standardized processes.
  • Collaborate with  Maintenance and Engineering  to troubleshoot systems, support preventive maintenance efforts, and improve spare parts identification/organization.
  • Create and maintain  work instructions  for injection molding processes and systems; deliver training as needed.
  • Monitor and audit injection molding systems for  process compliance  and address any non-conformances.
  • Provide production-floor leadership by  assigning responsibilities and tracking performance  for the team.

Process Engineer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering  (or related field)  and/or   5+ years of relevant experience
  • 3–5 years  of processing and automation experience (preferred)
  • Strong  SPC (Statistical Process Control)  orientation
  • Proficient with  Microsoft Office  and PC-based software tools
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent  verbal and written communication  skills
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of an organization
  • Strong hands-on commitment and comfort working directly on the production floor
  • Able to work effectively in a  team-based environment
