Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 PM–6:30 AM
Reports to: Assistant Molding Manager
Process Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform machine start-ups and verify processes are running to standard.
- Provide first response to alarms involving machines, robots, thermolators/thermolaters, and secondary equipment.
- Monitor performance and ensure machines/robots operate at optimum efficiency .
- Troubleshoot issues related to machine operation, molds/tools, materials, and process conditions .
- Communicate production concerns and escalations to the Production Shift Supervisor , including issues requiring special attention.
- Complete required documentation accurately, including:
- Process verification records
- Tool reports
- Mistake-proofing check sheets
- Perform die change activities not assigned to/handled by a Die Setter.
- Maintain orderly, professional appearance/condition of equipment and stations (e.g., thermolators, robot control stations, DME units).
- Ensure proper care and handling of equipment, including purge management and disposal .
- Collaborate with support teams (Engineering, Tooling, Quality, Maintenance) on assignments tied to the area of responsibility.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through ideas and suggestions.
- Follow all internal safety policies and OSHA-required procedures.
Process Technician Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, and 1–3 years of related experience/training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with groups of employees.
- Preferred: Plastic Injection Molding experience.
- Required certifications/training: Hi-Lo (forklift) license, rigging, and crane training.
