Preferred Experience

  • Background supporting  technical sales/proposals  in an engineered products or industrial equipment environment (estimating, quoting, bid support).
  • Ability to interpret  customer specifications, contracts, and commercial terms  and translate them into a compliant, competitive proposal.
  • Strong estimating skills (labor, material, freight) and comfort working with  pricing guidelines  and margin targets.
  • Experience using  technical selection/performance software  (cooling tower/HVAC/process equipment selection tools preferred) and working with vendor tools.
  • Highly responsive, collaborative communicator with strong judgment—able to  prioritize, make quick quality decisions, and think strategically  to win work.
Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned  budget and firm proposals  end-to-end: coordinate inputs, develop bid strategy, and deliver customer-ready proposal packages.
  • Review technical/commercial requirements and lead  specification and contract  response development with internal stakeholders.
  • Build  accurate cost estimates  (labor/material/freight) and set bid pricing with management review to ensure competitive, profitable quotes.
  • Support business development by building strong  project scopes , attending customer meetings/pre-bid walks, and gathering info needed to bid effectively.
  • Maintain quote/reference data (Quote Database, Tower Reference Library) and support  forecasting/budgeting , plus assist post-award handoff and scope resolution as needed.
Salary: $70,000-$85,000/year
