Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Quality Control Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming shipments to confirm they meet quality standards.
- Conduct routine inventory inspections to ensure quality is maintained during storage.
- Investigate and help resolve quality-related issues , documenting findings and actions taken.
- Collaborate with warehouse leadership to develop, improve, and implement quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate quality records and report trends/findings to management.
- Train and educate warehouse staff on quality control procedures, food safety practices, and compliance standards .
- Stay current on quality/food safety best practices and recommend process improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
- Lead and support the warehouse internal audit process.
- Help improve allergen training and related processes.
- Complete weekly and monthly temperature probe inspections and required calibrations.
- Serve as a key point of contact—alongside leadership—for customer, regulatory, and external audits .
- Own and manage document control changes (updates, revisions, controlled distribution).
- Audit warehouse processes to ensure procedures are being followed consistently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Quality Control Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required (college preferred).
- Experience with food safety training and quality control , ideally in a warehouse/cold storage environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and compliance expectations (e.g., FDA/USDA concepts ), auditing practices, and quality procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office , especially Excel .
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment .
- Organized and dependable—able to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs.
