Quality Inspector - Upfitting

  We are seeking  a detail-oriented  Quality Inspector  to inspect parts, assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. You’ll identify defects early, document issues, and work closely with the team to prevent rework and improve consistency.


Quality Inspector (Upfitting)
  • Pay:   $25+/hour
  • Schedule:   Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Overtime:   Occasional Saturday OT

Job Summary

The Quality Inspector position focuses on ensuring products meet documented specifications and quality standards. In this role, you will inspect materials, sub-assemblies, and finished work; identify issues early; communicate concerns clearly; and help prevent defects from moving downstream.

Inspectors are expected to maintain high safety standards, stay organized, follow established processes, and contribute to continuous improvement.


Quality Inspector Role Expectations:
  • Consistently perform core inspection responsibilities at the required level
  • Demonstrate strong accountability, productivity, and attention to detail
  • Follow quality and safety procedures every day
  • Communicate issues promptly and professionally
  • Show motivation and capability to advance to higher inspection levels over time

Quality Inspector Skill Levels: Level 1: Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
  • Sub-assembly inspection
  • Jig/workstation checks
  • Installation verification
  • Basic electrical verification (visual/function checks)
  • Basic decal/label placement verification
Level 2: Demonstrated proficiency in:
  • Jig/workstation inspection
  • Assembly inspection
  • Installation inspection and verification
Level 3: Level 2 proficiency plus demonstrated proficiency in either:
  • Advanced electrical inspection/verification, or
  • Basic graphics/appearance inspection
Level 4: Level 2 proficiency plus:
  • Advanced electrical and basic graphics inspection,  or
  • Advanced graphics inspection (full wrap)
Level 5: Level 2 proficiency plus demonstrated proficiency in:
  • Advanced electrical inspection/verification,  and
  • Advanced graphics inspection (full wrap)

Operational Expectations
  • Immediately identify, resolve when possible, and communicate  any safety or quality concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work area
  • Support a team-first, production-focused environment while protecting quality standards

Key Skills & Behaviors
  • Ability to follow and interpret required build/installation documentation
  • Ability to identify defects, risks, and nonconformance and communicate them promptly
  • Proficiency with hand and air tools; ability to lift up to  50 lbs
  • Ability to identify waste and help improve productivity without sacrificing quality
  • Results-oriented mindset with consistent achievement of goals
  • Strong adherence to all safety rules and guidelines
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving and attention to detail
