Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Roadway Design Engineer to join our team. You will work on impactful transportation improvement projects, prepare roadway design plans, perform inspection services, and contribute to the successful development of public infrastructure. Primary Responsibilities
Develop roadway design plans, specifications, and contract documents for city, county, and DOT infrastructure projects.
Perform key design tasks including alignments, grading, drainage systems, typical sections, and corridor modeling.
Conduct field inspections, oversee layout, and ensure compliance with applicable design standards and CADD requirements.
Prepare and review construction cost estimates, quantities, and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality, on-time transportation design solutions. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT); Nebraska
Minimum 4 years of experience with public infrastructure or DOT projects.
Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads; strong technical documentation skills.
Valid driver’s license; local candidates preferred.
