Responsibilities:
- Specimen Processing and Preparation: Accurately split, prepare, and verify the identification of patient samples and slides for shipment to external labs and for internal use (including Tumor Board review), while strictly following sterile technique.
- Documentation and Data Management: Process all paperwork (requisitions, reports) completely and accurately, and locate/maintain patient records using the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Safety and Compliance: Consistently practice universal precaution measures and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling patient samples.
- Operational Support: Assist in managing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain adequate stock of supplies, and communicate with external hospitals to coordinate the timely return of materials.

- Quality and Performance: Must consistently demonstrate quality control by monitoring work for accuracy and thoroughness, ensuring departmental production and quality standards are met, and delivering work on time.
- Qualifications (Education): Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent as a minimum, with an Associate's Degree preferred .
- Qualifications (Experience & Skills): Would prefer candidates with 1 year of related experience , strong computer literacy , the ability to manage multiple priorities , and excellent organizational and communication skills.
