Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Bridge Design Engineer for a full-time, long-term opportunity in Omaha, Nebraska . This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with at least six years of experience in bridge design for City, County, or State agencies. The successful candidate will lead bridge design projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in the development of construction documents and structural calculations.

Responsibilities:

Apply structural engineering principles and detailing techniques to bridge design development.

Lead teams on bridge design projects for City, County, and State agency assignments.

Mentor junior staff in bridge design techniques and project management best practices.

Oversee the development of structural details for bridge construction documentation.

Perform and review structural load calculations, geometric layouts, and quantity estimates.

Conduct bridge load rating analyses to determine load capacity and necessary posting values.

Utilize specialized bridge design software for engineering computations.

Participate in field inspections of bridges and assist in preparing inspection reports.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); NE or IA license preferred.

Minimum of 6 years of experience with City, County, or DOT infrastructure projects.

Demonstrated leadership experience with engineering teams.
