Senior Human Resources Manager

 The Senior Manager, Human Resources is the organization’s lead HR professional, responsible for ensuring HR work is executed accurately, consistently, and on time. Reporting directly to the President, the Senior Manager, Human Resources provides hands-on leadership across employee relations, recruiting, performance management, benefits and HR administration, compliance, and employee development. This role is heavily focused on day-to-day operations and follow-through, while also offering guidance and broader HR support to leadership as needed. The Senior Manager, Human Resources will oversee and develop an HR Specialist and ensure HR practices remain responsive, compliant, and aligned with business priorities.


The Senior Manager, Human Resources is the organization’s lead HR professional, responsible for ensuring HR work is executed accurately, consistently, and on time. Reporting directly to the President, the Senior Manager, Human Resources provides hands-on leadership across employee relations, recruiting, performance management, benefits and HR administration, compliance, and employee development. This role is heavily focused on day-to-day operations and follow-through, while also offering guidance and broader HR support to leadership as needed. The Senior Manager, Human Resources will oversee and develop an HR Specialist and ensure HR practices remain responsive, compliant, and aligned with business priorities.

Duties:

  • Act as the primary HR partner for employees and leaders, working closely with the President on workforce needs, staffing changes, and organizational priorities
  • Manage employee relations matters from start to resolution, including attendance/conduct issues, corrective action, workplace concerns, and leading or coordinating investigations with recommended next steps
  • Direct the recruiting lifecycle, including selection decisions, onboarding activities, and process consistency across hiring efforts
  • Support and coordinate performance management by helping managers deliver feedback, address performance concerns, and drive employee development
  • Oversee core HR operations (benefits administration, HR systems and records, personnel updates, and policy/compliance documentation), identify opportunities to improve processes, and coach/lead the HR Specialist

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area (or equivalent relevant experience) with progressive HR experience across multiple functional areas
  • Demonstrated strength in employee relations, including advising managers, handling confidential matters with good judgment, and conducting/overseeing investigations with practical, consistent recommendations
  • Experience leading recruiting/onboarding, performance management support, HR administration, and employment compliance activities
  • Prior experience supervising or providing day-to-day direction to others, with the ability to set priorities and develop an HR Specialist
  • Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills, plus proficiency with HR systems/ATS tools and Microsoft Office; dependable attendance and readiness for shifts/meetings (manufacturing/distribution/operations experience and SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR preferred)
