Senior Survey Project Manager (Missouri Licensed PLS)

A fast-growing Midwest-based firm is seeking a seasoned Missouri-licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead complex surveying projects across public and private infrastructure sectors. This senior-level role involves managing project lifecycles, directing survey teams, ensuring quality control, and serving as a key client liaison.

Ideal candidates are proactive leaders with deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a dynamic environment.


Job Title: Senior Survey Project Manager
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with flexibility)
Salary: $125,000+ based on experience, plus sign-on bonus

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex land surveying projects from proposal through completion, ensuring technical accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as primary client liaison—overseeing scope, schedules, budgets, and crew coordination across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Review and approve boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, right-of-way, and construction surveys; ensure all deliverables meet applicable standards and regulations.
  • Mentor junior survey staff and field crews, providing technical guidance and quality oversight.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, planning, and construction teams to support integrated project success.
  • Drive process improvements in field data collection, QA/QC procedures, and digital workflows (e.g., Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center).
Requirements
  • Active Missouri Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive land surveying experience, including both field and office leadership roles.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D , GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and digital field-to-finish workflows.
  • Demonstrated success managing project teams and client relationships in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Strong command of technical documentation, legal descriptions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed; field and office work required.
