This role works closely with Marketing, Commercial, and Operations teams to manage incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure timely, organized documentation—all while keeping things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Operate within the company’s RIMAS system to manage the full lifecycle of large-scale commodity movements—including receiving, tagging, inventory control, and outbound shipping—across domestic and international facilities.

  • Coordinate complex shipment scheduling and dock operations in collaboration with Marketing, Commercial, and Operations teams, ensuring efficient handling of bulk loads, full truckloads (FTL), containers, and rail freight.

  • Perform inbound and outbound freight inspections, verifying material quality and quantity, reconciling against supplier documents, and escalating discrepancies to appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate and timely entry of purchase and sales orders, monitor receiving weights, and support financial processes such as invoicing, payment matching, and freight cost analysis.

  • Support warehouse operations and team development by assisting with system training, process improvements, and occasional operation of heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts, skid steers, loaders) as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or large-scale shipping operations (including rail, container drayage, FTL, and flatbed).

  • Strong understanding of terminal, dock, and warehouse workflows with direct experience handling large freight volumes and diverse transport modes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word); prior experience with logistics software such as Shared Logic or RIMAS strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and interact professionally with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate shipment and inventory records.

  • Forklift or heavy equipment certification is a plus; must be willing to train and operate machinery as required in support of shipping and receiving tasks.
