Ready to build software that makes a real impact on how data moves through the business? This hybrid Software Engineer III/IV role is ideal for a strong Python developer who enjoys solving complex problems and wants to work closely with data.

You’ll join an established team with deep SQL expertise, bringing strong software engineering and Python skills to help build, improve, and scale data pipelines and applications. You don't need to be a traditional data engineer  we're looking for someone who understands software development, can work confidently with data, and is comfortable asking questions and learning the business and data along the way.

Duties:

• Build, improve, and maintain scalable data pipelines and Python-based solutions.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize code for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Partner with software engineers, architects, actuaries, and analysts to solve complex business and data challenges.
• Work with large datasets and existing SQL-based systems while improving processes, data quality, and overall system performance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands-on Python development.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including writing clean, maintainable code and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to understand and work with data; advanced SQL is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new data concepts, ask the right questions, and work independently in an established technical environment.

• Nice to Have: Experience with ETL/data pipelines, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, data warehousing, or other data-intensive applications.

Salary:$130,000-$150,000 + (based on level and experience)
