Duties

  • Support daily and monthly accounting operations, including general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
  • Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support audits, internal controls, compliance efforts, and documentation accuracy across key accounting processes.
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting, inventory-related accounting activities, and other finance functions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent in Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and core accounting functions including general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with experience supporting audits, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
  • Experience with financial reporting and forecasting tools, knowledge of sales tax regulations, government survey reporting, inventory audits, fixed asset accounting, and advanced Excel or database skills is preferred.
