Truck Builder/Fabricator Key Responsibilities:
- Install vocational equipment onto truck platforms per customer and build specifications
- Perform 12V electrical wiring and troubleshoot basic electrical issues
- Install and connect hydraulic components (pumps, PTOs, valves, manifolds, plumbing, etc.)
- Perform mechanical assembly , mounting, alignment, and fit-up of components
- Cut, weld, and fabricate parts as needed to complete installations
- Read and interpret installation instructions , diagnostic guides , and technical documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and follow shop safety procedures
Truck Builder/Fabricator Qualifications (Preferred Experience & Skills)
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems (pumps, PTOs, valves, plumbing, manifolds, etc.)
- Understanding of 12V electrical systems and wiring
- Ability to weld (including mild steel and stainless steel)
- Proficiency using an oxy-acetylene torch
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Truck Builder/Fabricator Physical Requirements
Qualified candidates must be able to:
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Stand for the majority of the workday
- Sit, kneel, and bend at the waist as needed
- Crawl under vehicles and work from a laying position
- Climb to heights of up to 15 feet and perform manual tasks at height
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- $25-$35/hr depending on experience
- In-season: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Off-season: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
