Warehouse Associate

  We are seeking a qualified  Warehouse Associate to  support daily warehouse and distribution operations by receiving, processing, packaging, and shipping products accurately and efficiently. The Warehouse Associate role helps keep products moving through the operation while maintaining strong attention to quality, traceability, and customer service. This position is designed as a progressive warehouse role. Team members typically begin by training in shipping and order fulfillment and expand responsibilities over time into additional areas such as receiving, inventory handling, and warehouse organization.
 


Warehouse Associate Job Duties:
  • Accurately locate parts and materials in a warehouse environment
  • Pick, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment
  • Package orders safely and cost-effectively to meet shipping requirements
  • Generate shipping documentation and complete shipping transactions in inventory systems
  • Provide shipping quotes and coordinate with freight carriers as needed
  • Maintain product traceability, including lot number tracking when required
Receiving & Inventory Support
  • Receive incoming shipments and inspect goods for accuracy and condition
  • Verify shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and required documentation
  • Record received items and quantities in inventory management systems
  • Sort and distribute incoming materials to the appropriate departments
  • Help maintain organized inventory locations and warehouse storage areas
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory activities
Communication & Operational Support
  • Communicate with shipping, purchasing, and production teams regarding shipment status, backorders, discrepancies, or delays
  • Support warehouse organization and stock replenishment activities
  • Assist with claims, carrier reports, and shipment tracking as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve distribution processes and efficiency
  • Follow company procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned

Warehouse Associate Experience & Skills:
  • Warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience is helpful but not required
  • Ability to work with packaging materials and shipping equipment to safely prepare shipments
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping, inventory, and warehouse systems
  • Ability to use handheld devices and warehouse technology
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is helpful
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills and comfort managing small tasks or projects


Warehouse Associate - Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to climb ladders and reach overhead as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform physical warehouse tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance
