Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Working Lead to join our production team at Bennett Packaging.
This position combines regular production and packaging duties with additional responsibilities for checking in temporary employees, tracking attendance, and assisting with daily timekeeping.
The Working Lead will work directly alongside production associates assembling Pokémon trading card displays and promotional products while helping ensure smooth daily operations.
This is a hands-on working position, not a traditional supervisory or office role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing repetitive assembly tasks while taking on additional responsibility for employee coordination and attendance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Packaging
Work alongside production associates assembling and packaging Pokémon trading card displays and promotional products.
Fold and assemble cardboard boxes and display materials.
Insert trading cards, promotional items, and other small components into packaging.
Apply glue dots, adhesives, and other packaging materials.
Assist with plastic wrapping, sealing, boxing, and preparing finished products for shipment.
Perform repetitive, small-piece assembly tasks while maintaining quality and production pace.
Inspect finished products for accuracy and packaging quality.
Rotate between production stations as needed to support daily production goals.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
Employee Check-In & Attendance
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned temporary employees at the beginning of each shift.
Check in temporary employees daily and verify attendance.
Track employee absences, late arrivals, and early departures.
Communicate attendance issues, no-shows, and staffing shortages to the staffing agency and onsite management.
Help direct temporary employees to their assigned production lines and workstations.
Answer basic employee questions and communicate any concerns to the appropriate team members.
Timekeeping & Daily Coordination
Assist with recording and verifying temporary employees' daily work hours.
Help track clock-in and clock-out times, lunch breaks, and attendance discrepancies.
Identify missing punches or inaccurate time records and communicate necessary corrections.
Work closely with the staffing agency to ensure accurate timekeeping information is submitted for payroll processing.
Maintain organized attendance and timekeeping records.
Balance administrative responsibilities with regular hands-on production duties.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 10 hours per shift.
Ability to lift approximately 5–20 lbs.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
Strong attendance and reliability.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to accurately track employee attendance and work hours.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Previous lead experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to multitask and transition between production responsibilities and employee coordination.
Positive attitude and willingness to lead by example.
Work Environment & Breaks
Large warehouse and production facility with multiple active assembly lines.
Production lines typically consist of approximately 20–40 employees, each responsible for a specific step in the assembly process.
30-minute lunch break during the shift.
Water and restroom breaks permitted as needed with communication to the line lead.
Team-oriented environment with opportunities to learn additional skills.
